Now renovated and reopened, Sunzal Point was the original surf lodge of El Salvador. In 1961, the Angulo family purchased Sunzal Point and shortly thereafter opened doors for business as "Surfer’s Inn." Their small rancho was the original, first, and only lodging available for surfer’s and vacationers in the area during the 1960’s and 70’s.
Located behind the beach and under the mango trees, SUNZAL POINT Surf Lodge & Retreat offers affordable, clean, and spacious rooms. We are one of the closest hostels to the world-class waves in Sunzal, close to La Libertad, and steps away from the beach/party town of El Tunco.
Here you can surf all day, party all night in El Tunco, and then retreat to our surf lodge to relax and recoup!

We have a wide variety of surfboards for rent, and our good friend Balta from Eternal Summer Tours can lead you to volcanoes, waterfalls, and secret surf spots!
